The School of Spontaneity & Grace Under Pressure

Rana Arafa is an Egyptian television presenter with over twenty-two years on air and more than 6,000 live broadcast hours behind her. She currently hosts Al-Qahera Al-Youm, the flagship daily live programme on Orbit OSN — a seat she has held since 2022.

Her broadcast journey began as a news reporter for Video Cairo, progressing to a sports show on Egyptian National Television, and reporting from Beirut for Rotana Music. She then stepped into the presenter's chair at OTV, presenting Masaak Sokar Zeyada alongside the daily live morning show Sabahak Sokar Zeyada, which she fronted for four consecutive years.

Trained as a news anchor on National Television, Rana joined Sada El Balad, presenting Eash Sah, Sabah El Balad, and El Beih Wel Hanem. Between these landmark runs, she spent four years at TeN TV anchoring the daily show Asal Abyad, followed by a season at Orbit OSN hosting the weekly live programme Aadet Setat.

In all, Rana has presented 10 major television shows — 7 of them live — spanning news, morning broadcasts, sports, prime-time talk shows, and lifestyle formats. She has also presented 3 podcasts with Nahdet Misr and a radio series on MBC channels.
